Mission
Founded in 1982, located in the Olympia-Lacey-Tumwater region of Washington State, the Filipino American Community of South Puget Sound seeks to preserve and promote Filipino heritage and identity in the culturally diverse society of the United States. We are a not-for-profit organization that also awards scholarships to deserving students and contributes to charitable institutions.


General Purposes
  • Promotion of programs to foster education and consciousness of Filipino heritage among its members, especially the youth
  • Promotion of Filipino American identity in the community
  • Promotion of services and charitable contributions to local community and to international nonprofit organizations.

Tax Exempt
The FACSPS is a nonprofit, tax exempt 501(c)3 educational and charitable organization with Federal Tax ID No. 91-1534437. Donations to FACSPS are tax deductible.

Year Round Activities
Scholarship awards, charity, seniors program, scholastic and art contests, folk dance, chorale, drama, sports, field trip/environmental retreats, cultural shows of artists from the Philippines, formal dance balls, Christmas caroling, Holiday family parties, and others. A $3 million FACSPS Community Center is currently being planned. Please also check out our Calendar for events.

Membership
Open to individuals and families of Filipino ancestry, those whose friends or spouses are of Filipino ancestry, those who are interested in learning about or advocating Filipino culture, or ANYONE who is open to cultural diversity. Annual family membership fee is $25, and $15 for individuals. Fill out a membership form here.
