Projects

“Uhaw” is a Tagalog word meaning “thirst.” The UHAW Project was started by FACSPS President Paul Vano to send basic aid to victims of mass disasters and crises in the Philippines and the U.S. The tragedy of Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) resulted in an overwhelming destruction of many lives. We are still helping those affected and continue to accept any monetary donations for this cause.
On January 10, 2014 at Hallen Hall, Sacred Heart Parish, a benefit dinner was held for attendees to gather, remember and pray for those affected by Typhoon Haiyan. Thank you to everyone who made it a successful turnout, including those who performed, guest speakers and Cebu Restaurant staff. We were able to pool together more funding for the UHAW Project that will be distributed to typhoon victim aid in the Philippines. Many thanks to those who donated.
